The availability date has been pushed back to it's original timeframe, which is the end of Sept. The gears are scheduled to be cut in the first week in Sept., and the final heat treatment will take place in the third week in Sept. I should take delivery of them a week after that. Final price has been set at $725 to the general public and a group buy price of $690 for TT.net members. My exclusive distributer will be SpecialtyZ, so you can order the gears directly from me or from SpecialtyZ (Greg D. and Seb). Some members have expressed a concern about being shut out of the first set of 100...I am prioritizing the sale of the first batch of gears to the first 100 people who express a desire to buy the gears (thru E-mail or telephone calls). If they sell as quickly as they appear they will, I will have a batch of 50 go into production after the first 100 sell. I am not taking deposits as I am uncomfortable taking anyone's money before I actually possess the product. As stated previously, I will have a simple website devoted to the gears ( as soon as Zo,ZHound gets back from vacation): the manufacturing process, ordering info, warranty, and (in a month or so) performance results in a number of different cars, with stock turbos, 2530s, TD05s, and manual and automatic transmissions(These tests will be 1/4 mile performances before and after the addition of the gears with no other modifications. I welcome those of you who utilize the gears for road racing (or "real racing" as some of you refer to it) to post your performance results. As always, anyone is welcome to E-mail me with questions or call me (yes actually use the telephone) at 818 985-7660. Thanks, Mark P.S. Some of you asked about the possibility of having higher (numerically lower) gears made; the lack of demand for those makes the cost prohibitive, 100 sets minimum is necessary to get the cost into a reasonable range.
